By Nate Rohr Apr 3, 2025 | 7:02 AM

Nebraska men’s basketball never trailed as it cruised to a second-round win over Georgetown, 81-69, Wednesday night in the Crown Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas.

Brice Williams followed his 30-point performance in the first round with 28 points on 8-for-14 shooting. Juwan Gary added 17 points on 6-for-13 shooting, and Andrew Morgan came off the bench with 12 points and nine rebounds. Malik Mack scored 25 points on 7-for-16 shooting.

The real surprise, though, was Cale Jacobsen, who made his first start of the season and played a season-high 36 minutes and scored seven points.

Nebraska dominated the paint, outscoring the Hoyas 34-18 in the paint while outrebounding Georgetown, 40-31. The Huskers held the Hoyas to just 29 percent shooting in the first half as Nebraska built a 34-24 lead at halftime. The lead grew to as large as 16 in the second half and the Huskers hung on to win.

Nebraska now advances to the Crown semifinals to face Boise State, which won 100-93 over Butler. Tipoff between the Huskers and the Broncos will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, with pregame coverage starting at 11:30 a.m. on KLIN.
