For the second straight week, Nebraska pitcher Jordy Bahl was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week by the conference office Monday.
Bahl allowed no earned runs in 14 innings pitched over three appearances last week. She earned two wins and a save as the Huskers won all three games last week. In her return to her hometown of Omaha to take on the Mavericks Wednesday, Bahl threw a two-hit shutout, striking out a season-high 13. On Saturday, Bahl opened the series against Purdue by allowing one unearned run in five innings as the Huskers run-ruled Purdue. Bahl came out of the bullpen Sunday and earned the save by throwing two no-hit innings against the Boilermakers.
It is Bahl’s third Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
