Lincoln Police say a fight Sunday night near 8th and ‘A’ Streets resulted in two men being stabbed. Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says it all began when officers were called to the area around 9:00.
“Officers located a 30-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries, who was transported to the hospital.” She says about 30 minutes later 32-year-old Jaime Erazo called 911 from an apartment complex near Southwest 27 and ‘B’ Streets saying he was stabbed at the original location.
Thomas says investigators determined Erazo, the stabbing victim and another man had been drinking when a fight broke out at 8th and ‘A’. During the altercation, Thomas says Erazo stabbed the victim before he was stabbed.
He was treated for his injuries and taken to the Lancaster County Jail for first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Thomas says it’s unknown if the other two men will be charged and the investigation is ongoing.
