By Nate Rohr Mar 16, 2025 | 7:39 PM

The Nebraska women’s basketball team was selected for the NCAA Tournament Sunday. They were slotted as the No. 10 seed, taking on No. 7 Louisville Friday in Fort Worth, Texas, in the first round of the tournament. The winner of that game will take on the winner of No. 2 seed TCU and No. 15 Farleigh Dickinson.

The Huskers qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year despite season-ending injuries to starting guards Natalie Potts and Allison Weidner. Led by All-Big Ten forward Alexis Markowski and All-Big Ten freshman guard Britt Prince, the Huskers were able to earn a bid to the tournament.

They’ll face Louisville from the ACC, coached by former NU assistant Jeff Walz. He coached at Nebraska under Paul Sanderford from 1997-2001, then has led Lousville to 15 NCAA Tournaments and four Final Fours in his two decades as head coach.

Tipoff times will are yet to be determined, though the Huskers NCAA Tournament games will be carried on B-107.3.
