By Tom Stanton Mar 14, 2025 | 11:25 AM

Lincoln Police are investigating two incidents of shots being fired Thursday night and early Friday morning.  Sergeant Chris Vollmer says officers were called to the area of 31st and Orchard around 10:45 Thursday night after someone reported hearing gunshots.

“Arriving officers located multiple spent casings, and three duplexes were observed to have damage consistent with bullet strikes,” Vollmer says. No injuries were reported.  Then around 3:30 Friday morning officers responded to a report of gunshots being fired near 11th & Washington.

Vollmer says officers found several shell casings on the ground, but did not see any damage to property.  There were no injuries reported in this incident. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 402-441-6000, or remain anonymous through Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
