Strong Late Week Weather System Update

An intense storm system will bring strong winds to the area Friday into Saturday, along with the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms, increased fire danger, and some snowfall.

Winds will start to pick up as early as Thursday, but the strongest winds will be Friday into Saturday.  Expect 30-40 mph gusts out of the south on Friday before they switch to the northwest gusting 40-50 mph into Saturday afternoon.

Precipitation will begin to move into the area by Friday afternoon with the potential for rain and a few thunderstorms. Rain will switch to snow from northwest to southeast late Friday night into early Saturday.
