No one was hurt after an early morning house fire near 98th and Holdrege. LFR Public Information Officer MJ Lierman says when crews arrived around 1:45 a.m. flames were coming from the corner of the home and extending up the the second floor.
“Crews had a great stop, preventing it from going into the attic,” Lierman says. The fire didn’t do much damage to the inside of the house. Lierman says an electrical issue sparked the fire, which caused an estimated $100,000 damage.
The four people inside the house were able to get out without injury. Lierman says they will all have to be relocated.
