The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for the city of Lincoln until 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Total snow accumulation is estimated to be between 1 and 4 inches. Winds could be gusting as high as 65 mph. Flash freeze conditions are expected.
This storm will mainly cover portions of east central, northeast, and southeast Nebraska.
Roads will become slick and hazardous. Periods of whiteout conditions will likely make travel impossible during the peak of the storm, including during the evening commute. Very strong winds could cause tree damage and power outages.
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5-1-1.
