Woman Tased During Struggle With LPD Officers

By Tom Stanton Mar 2, 2025 | 11:52 AM

A 51-year-old Lincoln woman was arrested Saturday night after police say she refused to leave the home of a man Saturday morning.  LPD says just before 9:00 a.m. the man called police to his home near 40th and ‘D’ Street regarding an argument between the two.

Police say the man asked the woman to leave his house and she refused.  Investigators say Robin Mahoney became verbally combative with officers and the resident. They attempted to de-escalate the conflict and offered Mahoney a ride somewhere else.   LPD says she continued to refuse to leave and continued to be verbally combative.

Polie say officers told Mahoney she was under arrest for trespassing and a struggle ensued to get her into custody.   LPD says she resisted when officers tried to handcuff her and ignored officer’s commands to stop resisting

During a struggle to gain control of Mahoney one officer deployed their Taser.  LPD says Mahoney continued to resist arrest and ignore officers’ commands and was hit with a second Taser and officers were finally able to handcuff her.

One officer sustained minor injuries in the struggle.  Mahoney was booked into the Lancaster County Jail for trespassing, refusing to comply with orders of a police officer and resisting arrest.
