Lincoln Police say a 15-year-old boy was seriously injured after he was struck by a van at 48th and Cornhusker Wednesday afternoon. According to Lincoln Police the van was westbound on Cornhusker around 4:30 and the woman driving it said she was unable to see the teenager as he was crossing the intersection.

The police report says another vehicle in the left-turn lane blocked the van driver’s view of the teen, as he crossed from the south.  LPD says the boy failed to yield to the van and was struck. He was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but police say they are non-life threatening.
