About 60,000 early vote by-mail request forms are in the mail, headed to Lincoln voters ahead of the city’s upcoming spring elections.

These forms can be used to request an early vote ballot for the primary (April 8) or general (May 6) election, or both. Lincoln-Lancaster County Election Commissioner Todd Wiltgen says the pink postcard-size forms should start arriving in mailboxes within the next few days.

These request forms are sent to eligible voters on the permanent early vote by-mail request list. Voters who do not receive an early vote request postcard may obtain the request form on the Election Commissioner’s website at: lancaster.ne.gov/election. Voters may also contact the Election Commissioner’s Office at (402) 441-7311 and the office will mail a request form to them.

How to Submit

Form holders will need to provide their name, address, signature, and a Nebraska Driver’s License or State ID Number; a photocopy of another valid photo identification; or a reasonable impediment certification. More information on Nebraska’s Voter ID law here.

Voters will need to return their form by mail, or via any drop box location listed below:

  • Election Commissioner’s Building, 601 North 46th Street
  • Anderson Branch Library, 3635 Touzalin Avenue
  • Eiseley Branch Library, 1530 Superior Street
  • Gere Branch Library, 2400 South 56th Street
  • Walt Branch Library, 6701 South 14th Street

A scanned copy or a readable photo of the completed and signed form may also be emailed to the office at: earlyvote@lancaster.ne.gov.
