A Papillion woman is facing child abuse charges after authorities say she locked her 15-year-old daughter out of their vehicle during an altercation in Plattsmouth late Tuesday night.  The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says just after 11:00 p.m. deputies were called to the Buccaneer Bay subdivision to investigate an abandoned child.

The sheriff says the investigation determined the teen was transported by her mother, 31-year-old Crystal Dominguez, to a relatives house.  The two began to argue outside of the home and investigators say it then turned physical.

Dominguez is accused of removing the girl from the vehicle and locking her outside of it before driving away.  The sheriff’s department says the teen was then dragged by the vehicle a short distance, causing her shoes to come off.

The temperature at the time was recorded at four below zero.  The teen went to a neighboring home where deputies were called.  She was transported by Plattsmouth Rescue to the hospital for treatment of injuries and cold exposure.

Dominguez was found and charged with felony child abuse.  She was booked into the Cass County Corrections Facility.
