Snow will move through the Lincoln area today with the potential for 2 to 3-inch accumulations along a line from Seward to Lincoln to Nebraska City. More snow is possible tonight especially across southeast Nebraska near the Kansas border.

Bitterly cold wind chills of 25 to 35 below zero are expected tonight into Tuesday morning. Extreme cold warnings and cold weather advisories are in effect.

Accumulating snow continues across southeast Nebraska Tuesday with another 2-4 inches possible there.

Bitterly cold wind chills are expected over a prolonged period from Tuesday night through Friday. An extreme cold watch continues and additional cold weather advisories and warnings will eventually be needed.
