Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in two separate shoplifting incidents at Walmart locations.
The first case occurred on January 16, 2025, at the Walmart on North 84th and Fremont Street.
Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says the mega-store reported a woman went to the self-checkout with a barcode code from the clearance aisle for the amount of 25 cents affixed to the back of her phone.
Instead of scanning the barcode of each item in her cart, she scanned this 25 cent code and altered the price of her items.
Walmart reviewed security footage and found her doing this on 4 different occasions. One of those occasions she had a small child with her. She left in a 2005-2011 Dodge Dakota. She had a tattoo on her chest, and another on the back of her neck.
Photos taken from security video are available below.
The second case occurred around 3:00 p.m. on February 5, 2025, at the Walmart on 87th and Andermatt Drive.
An individual was dropped off by a dark colored, older Chevy pickup. The man goes to the shoe department and swaps his shoes for some new boots, then heads over to the backpacks where he grabs one off the shelf and loads it up with various items throughout the store.
Cameras then followed him to the bike aisle where he grabbed a silver BMX style bike and exited out the emergency exit with it, riding away.
Pictures and video of the suspect are available below.
