The Lincoln Continentals Barbershop Chorus is back for Valentine’s Day to serenade and surprise sweethearts this Friday. Tod Treadway is Marketing VP and tells KLIN News anywhere from four to six quartets from the group will be fanning out across the city to deliver their four-part harmony style songs of love.
Tredway says they experience a wide range of emotions when they surprise an unsuspecting sweetheart. “Sometimes the recipient is, at first embarrassed, and then a little weepy and then the people all around them are jealous because they didn’t get one.”
Tredway says the cost is $60 for two songs and the recipient also receives a box of chocolates. The money they raise helps supports their activities for the year. He says they will go just about anywhere in the city, including schools, offices, doctor’s offices and homes.
