Lincoln Police say a 38-year-old man who police suspect was overdosing on drugs while officers served a search warrant last week is out of the hospital and in the Lancaster County Jail. Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says Dewayne Johns of Lincoln was booked for two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of drugs and tampering with evidence.
The LPD SWAT Team and Lincoln Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence near 24th and Potter last Thursday as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation that determined methamphetamine was being sold from the location.
Five people were arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail. Investigators found meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, cash and multiple guns inside the home. 36-year-old Frennel Henderson of Lincoln was arrested for possess of a firearm by prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance and possession of money while violating a drug statute.
33-year-old Papay Quiah was arrested and booked for on two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. 41-year-old Rebecca Coulter, 44-year-old Ericka Holder and 24-year-old Alysha Canfield were booked for possession of a controlled substance.
