Investigators are adding up the damages after fire broke out inside a house near 30th and W around 8:30 Monday morning. “The homeowner was cooking on the stove and thought he had the fire pretty much out,” says LFR Public Information Officer MJ Lierman.
She says the fire ended up in the wall and traveled up into the attic and crews were able to put it out quickly. Lierman says the homeowner was the only one inside and was able to make it out safely.
