VOTE: Name of Penguin Chick at Lincoln Children’s Zoo

The community has a chance to help name the newest member of the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.

The new female Humboldt penguin chick was hatched on December 15 is the offspring of mom, Sharkbait, and dad, John Henry. After fielding hundreds suggestions from the public, zoo staff narrowed it down to five names: Chile, Harriet, Amelia, Poppy, and Josie.

Residents have until Wednesday, February 12th to cast their vote. The chick’s name will be announced on February 13th. Visit lincolnzoo.org to cast your vote.
