Brice Williams turned in a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead Nebraska to a 79-71 win over Ohio State Sunday at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Williams was 9-for-16 shooting from the field and made all five of his free throws to notch a double-double. Juwan Gary added 19 points and Berke Buyuktuncel tallied 15 points for the Huskers. Micah Parish led the Buckeyes with 30 points while John Mobley, Jr., added 21 points, but after that, just one OSU player scored more than five points.
Ohio State led 39-34 at half and opened its lead to 42-34 a minute into the second half. An 8-0 run drew the Huskers even with Ohio State at 42 with 17:17 remaining. A putback drew Ohio State to the lead, 46-42. But an 8-0 run swung the tide. Nebraska led the rest of the way and held off OSU.
The Huskers outhustled the Buckeyes, outrebounding them 37-28 while outscoring them in the paint, 40-26.
