We could see another round of freezing drizzle in the Lincoln area Friday night into Saturday morning. National Weather Service Meteorologist Michaela Wood says a Winter weather Advisory goes into effect at 9:00 p.m.
“It will really start getting toward Lincoln around 8:00 or 9:00 p.m., continue overnight and then wrap up Saturday morning in that 7:00 to 9:00 time frame.” She says the freezing drizzle is most likely between midnight and 6:00 a.m. and could make for very slick conditions as you head out the door.
“My best guess is that it will come down to the roads that are treated versus those that are untreated as far as impacts go,” Wood says. “The main roads if they get salted and are driven on should be pretty good tomorrow morning.”
Lincoln residents need to be extra careful on side streets, sidewalks, driveways and other surfaces that could be extremely slick.
