Celebrating his recently book ended 25 year career as head coach for Husker volleyball, now retired coach John Cook has received a new bobblehead from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
Unveiled Friday, the officially licensed, limited-edition Coach Cook Bobblehead celebrates his career and retirement after 25 remarkable seasons, four NCAA championships, and 722 wins.
The bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in August, are now available for pre-order here. The run is limited to 2,025 figures, each individually numbered. They cost $30 each plus an $8 flat-rate shipping charge per order.
Standing on a circular base bearing his name, the smiling Coach John Cook bobblehead is holding a black binder and wearing a white polo shirt with Nebraska’s logo. The top of the red and white base is designed to look like a volleyball and includes a replica of Coach Cook’s signature. It stands 8 inches tall.
“One of the most successful coaches in the history of college volleyball, Coach Cook’s Husker teams were the standard of excellence for 25 years,” said National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar.
Previously, Nebraska bobbleheads of Herbie Husker, Lil Red, Nebraksa vs. Iowa Football Rivalry, and Volleyball World Record were released along with a bobble of the Nebraska Cornhuskers logo.
