The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says Wednesday’s freezing precipitation led to two rollover crashes. Captain John Vik tells KLIN News the first one happened around 9:30 a.m. near 120th and Highway 2.

“There was an eastbound Ford pick-up that left the roadway and the male driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered critical injuries,” says Captain John Vik.  He says those injuries are considered life threatening. He says the driver was not wearing a seat belt.

He says about 30 minutes later a mother and her two young children suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash at 82nd and Martell Road.  “Fortunately, the occupants in this vehicle were wearing seatbelts,” Vik says.  ” There was a mother and two small children who were in child restraints.”

There transported to a hospital as a precaution.  “The biggest difference in these two accidents was whether or not the occupants were wearing a seatbelt.  LOS deputies also responded to a third crash Wednesday morning, but no injuries were reported.
