Youth for Christ Lincoln has completed its $3 million fundraising campaign to build a new youth center called ” The Rock.” A gift that pushed the organization over its goal was received in early December. The goal was to create a space that will serve as a safe haven and a hub for positive influence in the lives of teens across the Lincoln area.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who believed in this vision and partnered with us to make it a reality,” says executive director Matt Schulte. “This milestone is a testament to our community’s deep commitment to its youth and the future we are building together.”
Schulte says “The Rock” was envisioned to provide more than just a physical building. “It will be a place where teens can feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow emotionally, socially, and spiritually.”
The facility will host programs including Campus Life, Parent Life, Juvenile Justice Ministry as well as a new mental health program of youth. These programs offer mentorship, life skills development, and the opportunity to explore faith in a welcoming environment.
The facility includes a gymnasium, classrooms, and flexible meeting spaces, providing resources for everything from recreational activities to mental health support and discipleship programs. Construction is now complete and “The Rock” is available for residents to use.
