Nebraska guard Brice Williams was named Big Ten Player of the Week after leading the Huskers to back-to-back wins over ranked opponents last week. The award is Williams’ second of the season, tying Shavon Shields in 2013-14 for most Big Ten Player of the Week awards earned in one season.
Williams tallied 27 points including eight in a row in overtime to lead the Huskers to an overtime win over No. 18 Illinois. He followed that by scoring 28 points in a win at No. 16 Oregon Sunday. He also matched a season high with six assists against the Ducks.
Nebraska will look to continue its strong play of late when it faces Washington Wednesday night in Seattle. Pregame coverage begins at 8:30 p.m. on KLIN.
