Freshman Britt Prince tallied 11 fourth quarter points as Nebraska held off a pesky Purdue squad in a 74-68 victory Thursday at West Lafayette, Ind. Prince led the Huskers (16-5, 7-3 B1G) in scoring with 23 points for the game on 7-for-15 shooting from the field and a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line.

Prince led a solid effort from the charity stripe, as the Huskers were 18-for-19 from the free-throw line, overcoming a frigid night shooting from behind the arc, just 2-for-13.

The Boilermakers (7-14, 0-10 B1G) hung around, trailing by just one after the first quarter and leading 39-36 at half. But Nebraska took over in the second half and opened a 12-point lead early in the fourth quarter before holding off Purdue down the stretch.

Alexis Markowski scored 18 points including 6-for-7 from the free-throw line. She helped spearhead a dominant effort down low, as the Cornhuskers outscored Purdue in the paint, 44-26. The Huskers were also opportunistic, cashing in 21 Boilermakers turnovers for 29 points while Purdue converted 11 Nebraska turnovers into just five points.

Nebraska now prepares to faces Indiana Sunday at 11 a.m. Pregame coverage begins at 10:30 a.m. on B-107.3.
