Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol, with assistance from Lincoln Police Department, have arrested four individuals following a traffic stop late last night.

Around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, troopers pulled over a Hyundai Santa Fe for travelling with no license plates on 33rd Street near Cornhusker Highway in Lincoln.

During the stop, the driver refused to comply and attempted to flee in the vehicle through the parking lot. At that time, an LPD officer was entering the parking lot and the vehicle stopped.

As officer approached the vehicle, the driver still refused to comply and was arrested. Troopers observed something they suspected to be a controlled substance in the vehicle. Investigators determined there were multiple bags of suspected methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The driver, 31-year-old Brittany Hart of Lincoln, was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, resisting arrest second offence, outstanding warrants, and possession of methamphetamine. The passengers, 48-year-old Brian Ford of Beatrice, 46-year-old John Sutton of Lincoln, and 35-year-old Shannon Russell of Lincoln, were all arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
