Lincoln Police say the man who was armed with a knife when he broke into McPhee Elementary School last week has been identified as 27-year-old Tshering Tobgyal of Lincoln. He has been booked into the Lancaster County Jail for terroristic threats and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

He is also being cited and released for criminal mischief and criminal trespassing.   On January 22 around 1:30 p.m. school officials called LPD to report the break-in at 820 Goodhue Boulevard. Police say Tobgyal first broke an outside classroom window on the north side of the building with the knife.

School officials say he then went through the front door and broke an inside window using a bicycle.  Officers responded within minutes and made the arrest within 10 feet of the front door.  No one was injured in the incident.
