Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying a backyard trespasser and a pair attempted to steal an ATM using a stolen car.

The first case occurred around on November 19, 2024, around 11:30 p.m. at a residence near 35th and “C” Street.

A man in gray sweats and a ball cap was seen on a personal home security camera. He approached the camera and pointed it upwards so it wouldn’t record him.

Investigators believe the same man returned to the same residence on December 13, 2024, around 3:45 a.m. and was seen messing with a window on the house, then trying to get into the garage.

The victim’s alarm was activated and the alarm tone on the camera spooked the man off. The second time he was seen wearing a black Guess branded hoodie.

Video and photo from the incidents are available below.

The second case occurred on December 22, 2024, near the B&D Auto Shop on 48th and Cornhusker Highway.

Security footage shows a vehicle pulled up across the street from B&D Auto, which was later determined to be stolen from the business.

That truck was used to slam into the front door of the “U-Pull-It” auto salvage near 70th and Cornhusker Hwy. One person jumps out of the truck and tries to strap onto the ATM inside the business, but the strap breaks as they drive off, leaving them unsuccessful.

The truck would later be recovered not too far from the business with the tow strap still hanging on the back of it.

Investigators says an overall $8000 worth of damage was caused to the front of the U-Pull-It business. The stolen truck was heavily damaged from this incident as well.

Videos and photos are available below.
