No one was injured after a crash involving a truck carrying 36 head of cattle near Bennington on Monday morning.  The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says a pick up collided with the truck around 8:00, causing the cattle trailer to overturn near the intersection of Blair High Rd and Bennington Road.

The sheriff’s office says about a half dozen cows were able to get and were roaming around on the sides of the road.

Six others were killed and the rest were trapped in the trailer.  They were extricated from the trailer and eventually transferred to another one.
