Two Arrested After Drugs, Gun Found in Syracuse

Nebraska State Patrol investigators arrested two people in Syracuse as part of an ongoing drug investigation.  Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas says around 1:00 Thursday afternoon NSP investigators performed a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of 5th residence.

Inside the home investigators found 186 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 536 grams of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun. Investigators also found more meth while making contact with two people who had just left the house.

30-year old Kellie Bassinger and 41-year-old Brian Werner of Syracuse were booked into the Otoe County Jail for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of money during a drug violation and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
