Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced on Thursday that southbound 56th Street between Normal Boulevard and Van Dorn Street will close beginning January 11 for Lincoln Electric System utility work.
The work is scheduled to be completed by January 22. The recommended detour is Normal Boulevard to 48th Street to Van Dorn Street. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around this closure.
