One person died following a traffic accident shortly after 9:15 pm Tuesday.
Lincoln Police responded to North 45th and Holdrege where an Acura MDX was speeding west on Holdrege when it hit the north curb, lost control and rolled before hitting an apartment building. The driver was ejected and died at the scene. His name is being withheld pending family notification.
LPD is asking any witnesses who saw the crash or have video of the incident to contact police at 402-441-6000 or if you want to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue Public Information Officer MJ Lierman reported 8 people in the building were relocated with the assistance of the Red Cross due to structural damage.
