The City of Lincoln has declared a Snow Emergency with the anticipation of several inches of snow. A Snow Emergency parking ban will be in effect at 12:01 a.m. Sunday.
-
A snow emergency parking ban means parking is banned on both sides of emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes. Maps of these routes are available at lincoln.ne.gov/snow under the “Parking Bans & Ordinances” tab. City officials say residents should plan for alternate parking to allow crews room to clear the way safely and efficiently.

Residential parking bans are not in effect at this time.
Crews are on patrol treating emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes with granular salt pre-wet with brine. Plow teams are on alert in anticipation of accumulating overnight snowfall.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 11:59 p.m. Sunday. Between 5 and 12 inches of snow, wind gusts up to 35 mph and ice accumulations around a light glaze are possible.
Additional winter operations information is available at lincoln.ne.gov/snow.
