As the Huskers prepare to take the field against Boston College on Saturday morning the players and Coach Matt Rhule have done a lot of sightseeing in New York City, including visits to Central Park and the New York Stock Exchange.
Rhule got to ring the opening and was joined by Ty Robinson, Isaac Gifford and Jahmal Banks as well as Athletic Director Troy Dannen and university president Dr. Jeffrey Gold. “An amazing opportunity to be at the heart of our country’s economic system, and be at the stock exchange,” Rhule says.
I’ve grown up here and if you told me that in one day, I’d be on the floor of the stock exchange, ringing the bell, then a couple hours later be on the field at Yankee Stadium, I never would have believed it.”
The Huskers will be making their first bowl appearance in eight years when they battle the Eagles in the 2024 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
