…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM CST THIS EVENING…

The Thursday forecast is interesting as sunny skies and a west-southwest wind at 15 to 20 mph will warm temperatures into the low to mid-50s.  This afternoon winds will shift to the northwest 23 to 28 mph with gusts as high as 50 mph and temperatures. will be falling.

By early Friday morning temperatures will be in the low teens and wind chills near zero.

The gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.  The strong winds will also create areas of very high fire danger.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution.  Make sure outdoor items such as decorations and furniture are secured.
