If you have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, you can get it canceled without being arrested and with no additional bond during an upcoming Warrant Wipeout amnesty day.
The Public Defender, City Attorney and Lancaster County Attorney’s offices are partnering together for this one-day event, set for Thursday, December 19, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Lancaster County Courthouse/Hall of Justice (575 South 10th Street).
“We don’t want to see people in jail. That’s not what we want to do. We want to see if we can keep them out of jail. Especially over the holiday season,” County Attorney Pat Condon told KLIN News. “It also helps keep our numbers down at jail. We want to make sure they’re spending Christmas where they want to be spend Christmas, and that’s with their families.”
If you have questions or would like to request a daytime appearance, contact your attorney or the Public Defender’s Office on-call attorney at 402-441-7631.
Sign up will be held at the 2nd-floor windows between 3-6 p.m.
