A Waverly teenager will spend decades behind bars in connection with a stabbing at a park two years ago. A judge has sentenced Shane Moore to 66-70 years in prison for stabbing a 15-year-old boy several times at Wayne Park in October of 2022.
The victim suffered a laceration to the heart and needed surgery. More was sentenced for attempted first-degree murder and a weapons charges. In a plea deal prosecutors dropped an assault charge and another weapons charge.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department says both teens were students at Waverly High School and school was out that day due to fall break.
