Nebraska volleyball advanced to the regional final for a third matchup against Wisconsin with a 25-17, 25-18, 25-27, 25-13 victory over Dayton Friday night at the Devaney Center. The Huskers are 2-0 against the Badgers this season, and with a third win, would move on to Nebraska’s seventh national semifinal in the last 10 years.

Harper Murray paced NU with a season-high 22 kills (while hitting an efficient .318) with 16 digs. Murray added four service aces and four blocks. Rebekah Allick was the only Husker in double-digits in kills with 10 while also tallying four blocks. Andi Jackson had seven blocks and eight kills. Bergen Reilly tallied 47 set assists plus four blocks and six kills, while Lexi Rodriguez led the Huskers with 22 digs. Lexie Almodover was the only Flyer in double-digits for kills with 20.

In a defensive battle, the Cornhuskers outhit Dayton, .216-.087, while outblocking them 11 to eight and outserving them seven aces to four.

The match started at 9:16 p.m. due to the length of Wisconsin/Texas A&M, ultimately won by the Badgers in five sets. Dayton led the first half of set one before Nebraska took control to win the first set. After the Huskers led most of set two, set three was hotly contested, before NU dominated set four, never trailing the final set of the match.

Now the Huskers move on to face Wisconsin, a team they swept both in Madison and in Lincoln, for the right to advance to the national semifinals in Louisville, Ky. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Devaney Center, with pregame coverage beginning at 1 p.m. on B-107.3.
