A man who works to prevent crimes became the victim of one Tuesday night. LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says a Nebraska State trooper found the glovebox open in his unmarked cruiser parked in front of home in the area of 84th and Pine Lake Road.
“An inspection of the vehicle determined an AED valued at $1,500 was missing along with various law enforcement gear with an estimated value of nearly $2,000.” Thomas says the gear taken included soft body armor, a heavy plate carrier vest and a go bag with 2 AR-15 magazines and a flashlight.
A gym bag with cold weather gear and three pairs of eyeglasses were also stolen, but Thomas say no gun was taken. Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
