Vandals Toss Rocks Through Windows of Two South Lincoln Daycares

By Tom Stanton Dec 4, 2024 | 11:17 AM

The search is on for suspects after two south Lincoln daycares were vandalized Tuesday morning.  “Just after 10:00 a.m. officers responded to a daycare near S. 17th and Burnham Streets on the report of a rock thrown through a window, causing approximately $300 in damage,” says LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas.

“A plastic bag containing a bottle with gasoline inside was found about 10 feet away from the window.” About 90 minutes later, officers responded to a call of a rock thrown through the
window of an in-home daycare near 11th and ‘G’ Streets, causing an estimated $250 in damage.

“Thankfully, no one was hurt in either incident,” Thomas says.  Police are asking anyone with information about either of these cases to call them at 402-441-6000 or to remain
anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.

“The investigation into both incidents is ongoing and we want to prevent further damage and any potential harm to victims.”  Thomas says they are trying to determine if both cases of vandalism are connected.
