Youth for Christ (YFC) will cut the ribbon this Friday, Dec. 6, on a new 10,000-square-foot youth center called “The Rock” — designed to “inspire and empower teens.”
The community is invited to the event, beginning at 4 PM at 6401 Pine Lake Road, followed by the first student event in The Rock at 6 PM.
Nebraska First Lady Suzanne Pillen will deliver remarks to help ring in the center, as well as Scheels Manager Scott Robbins, and Pastor Tim Bohlke. Visitors can tour The Rock —featuring a gym, two classrooms, and vibrant spaces for dynamic activities — while enjoying light refreshments.
Matt Schulte, YFC Executive Director and Lancaster County District 3 Commissioner, says the The Rock was made possible through a $3 million fundraising campaign, which has only about $150,000 to go, he says.
“This new space represents the next chapter for Campus Life, as we strive to enhance our services and expand our reach,” said Matt Schulte. “We are grateful to the community for their incredible support and look forward to sharing this exciting vision for the future.”
