In its final tune-up before Big Ten play, the Nebraska men’s basketball team revved up the offense to 103 points as the Huskers rolled over North Florida, 103-72. The win boosted Nebraska to 6-1 entering Big Ten play next Saturday at Michigan State.

The Huskers’ offensive resurgence continued for a second straight game. After scoring 96 against South Dakota on Wednesday night, Nebraska remained hot shooting the ball, hitting 58 percent of shots from the field including 45.8 percent of three-pointers. Connor Essegian led all scoring with 22 points including six-for-eight from three-point range. Juwan Gary added 18 points on seven-for-12 shooting while Brice Williams notched 17 points and contributed six assists. Off the bench, Andrew Morgan nearly notched a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Ahron Ulis scored 10. The Ospreys were led by Seward native Nate Lliteras, who scored 17 points.

North Florida led 4-3 early, but the Huskers buried the Ospreys from there, assembling a 15-0 run to establish control. Nebraska never let go from there.

The Huskers now prepare to travel to Michigan State next Saturday. Pregame coverage begins at 10 a.m. with tipoff at 11 a.m. on KLIN.
