Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings on Thanksgiving Day from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The meal will be prepared by a family that has volunteered to prepare a home-cooked Thanksgiving feast for Matt Talbot guests for over twenty-five years.
Everyone in the community is welcome to attend. “We set our tables every day to welcome the individuals and families who come through our open doors to find hope and support,” says Alynn Sampson, Executive Director. “We are especially grateful to be open on Thanksgiving to provide a special meal and an opportunity for conversation and community.”
The mission of Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach is to relieve hunger, overcome homelessness, address addiction and provide outreach and advocacy. Last year Matt Talbot provided over 250,000 meals and 50,000 homeless prevention services, such as housing, drug & alcohol evaluations, life skills classes, and help obtaining vital identification documents.
