Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying a south Lincoln neighborhood prowler and a pair of vape shop burglars.
The first case was ultimately reported on Sunday, November 24, 2024, around a residence in the area of S. 40th and Washington Street.
LPD Audio-Video Analyst Jared Minary says the individual in question was described as a a 6′ tall white male in a gray Nike sweatshirt, who had been caught looking through their bedroom windows and walking through their backyard on numerous occasions, dating back to August.
The victims also reported finding the word “Run” written on the inside of the glass pane to their kitchen door and a smeared hand print. They believe the same person is responsible for all of these events.
The residents installed a Ring doorbell camera and captured some video of him in their backyard. Additionally, another report detailed a male in the area knocking on the bedroom window of a 15 year old girl the night before this incident, near S. 40th and Calvert.

The second investigation is looking into incidents which occurred on October 21, and November 21, 2024, at the Lincoln Vapor on N. 27th and Fairfield.
Minary says this location has been burglarized four times in the past five weeks.
Each time, a door has been accessed and/or pried open. In the 4 times the store has been burglarized, the total damage to the building has exceeded $2,000 and the total loss of product has exceeded $5,000.
The individuals can be heard on camera talking about Geek Bars, a specific style of vape, in which they ended up taking $2,000 worth of them this last time around in on Nov. 21.
