Herbster Being Considered For US Agriculture Secretary

As President-elect Donald Trump continues to fill out his cabinet, Nebraska agri-businessman and former gubernatorial candidate Charles Herbster is being considered for US Agriculture  Secretary.

In a statement on X,  Herbster said being considered for the job would be a distinct honor.  “I ask that you keep me in your prayers over this appointment and for guidance if given an opportunity to serve.”

In August Herbster was selected by Trump to serve as National Chairman for the Rural Americans for Trump Coalition. Herbster previously served as National Chairman of the Agricultural and Rural Advisory Committee to President Trump in 2016 and also National Chairman of the Farmers and Ranchers Coalition in 2020.
