Lincoln Southeast Student Accused of Bringing Loaded Gun to School

Lincoln Police say the the Gang Unit received information that a 16-year-old boy who attends Lincoln Southeast High School had a gun at school.  The report came in around 3:00 as school was
letting out for the day.

LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says investigators contacted the student at his south Lincoln home a short time later.   Investigators found an orange-colored 9mm handgun loaded with 6 rounds inside his backpack.

He was booked for possession of a firearm at a school, possession of a handgun by a minor and carrying a concealed weapon without disclosure.  He is being charged as a juvenile.
