Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who assaulted someone with a metal pipe and a woman who caused a disturbance at a gas station while trying to swindle slushies for the price of fountain drinks.
The first case occurred around 3:30 p.m. on October 19, 2024, outside of Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach near N. 26th and Center Street.

He confronted the man, who then attacked him with a metal pipe.
The victim was struck several times, eventually getting his hand broken and needing to be taken to the hospital for medical care.
The victim said the male arrived on a black mountain bike with a green string on the seat.

The second case occurred on October 16, 2024, at the U-Stop near 13th and South Street.
A woman with pink hair went into store and filled two fountain drink cups up with slushies. She told the cashier they were sodas, at which time the cashier confronted her and called her out for lying, and told her she would be charged for slushies.
The slushy swindler became upset, swore at the cashier, and knocked the drinks off the counter and spilled them all over the cashier.
