No one was hurt after shots were fired in the North Bottoms early Saturday morning. LPD Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says it happened around 1:30 near 10th and Claremont. “When officers arrived, a large group of people was seen dispersing on foot and in vehicles.”
Thomas says during the investigation officers learned a shot had been fired into the ceiling of the home after people at a party began fighting. Several more rounds had been fired out of a vehicle after the initial gunshot.
“Officers were able to locate a vehicle with a shattered rear window. A spent casing was found inside the home and an unspent round was found outside the house,” Thomas says.
