Nebraska senior forward and Lincoln native Alexis Markowski was named to the Jersey Mike’s Naismith College Women’s Basketball Player of the Year Watch List Monday. Markowski has earned three All-Big Ten honors in her career, leading the team by averaging 15.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game as the Huskers advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Nebraska women’s basketball opens its season against Omaha Nov. 4 at noon.
