LPD Searches Property in Central Nebraska For Missing Lincoln Woman

By Tom Stanton Oct 23, 2024 | 11:52 AM
LPD is continuing their search for 31-year-old Jerica Hamre, who was reported missing by her family on July 3.  Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says based on information gathered during the investigation, LPD investigators, the Nebraska State Patrol, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and several K9 units spent all day Monday and Tuesday searching a private property in Overton, Nebraska.
“Unfortunately, that search did not uncover anything of evidentiary value,” Thomas says.  “We do have evidence that suggests Jerica could have last been in the vicinity of Arapahoe, Holdrege, Overton and Lexington, Nebraska, along with the surrounding rural areas.”
Hamre was last seen at her home near 35th and Huntington in Lincoln on June 25 and has not made contact with friends or family since.  Thomas says Hamre’s disappearance is suspicious, but there have been no suspects identified.
LPD is asking anyone with even the slightest bit of information about her whereabouts or details that could help investigators to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
“Jerica’s birthday has passed since she disappeared, and we do not want another one to go by without locating her,” Thomas says.
